Ladies Western bound After Win
Over Waterloo
The
ladies knew they needed to play better than they did on Friday
and they didn't disappoint. After claiming the doubles point,
things started slow for Laura
Ozolins in singles play. She dropped the first set. Mary
Martchouk bounced back rather quickly from her doubles
loss earlier and won in straight sets. Mary
Hall won her match with ease. Shortly after, Ekaterina
Alchits sealed the deal for the Blues with her singles
victory. All this time, Ozolins
was still battling on the court and she came back and won
the last two sets. Karina
Avramenko and Qiuyan
Tian completed the sweep by winning their shortened matches.
The ladies will meet the top seed of the other division in
this weekend's OUA Team Championships.
