U of T wins Sydney Hermant Interuniversity Tournament

Over the weekend, U of T sent out three teams to compete in the Sydney Hermant Interuniversity Tournament, held at the Queen's Club of Toronto. After the number two team Christina Dykun and Szczepanski and the number three team Masha Sidorova and Mark Rennesson bowed out of the tournament, it was up to our number one team Natalia Lech and Rowan Thompson to keep the Blues' trophy hopes alive.

Lech and Thompson performed extremely well throughout the tournament and defeated York #3, McMaster #2 and York #2 to reach the finals, where they faced Montreal #2. Although Lech and Thompson has never partnered each other until the first day of this tournament, the two played like they have played together for a long time. They defeated the Montreal team 6-3, 6-2 to help the Blues win the Sydney Hermant trophy.
